Hi, I’m Warren Manson, founder of X Factor Fitness.
I’m a personal trainer based in the Hutt Valley, specialising in strength and resistance training for everyday people who want to feel stronger, healthier, and more confident — without the intimidation or ego that often comes with gym culture.
My Journey
My love for weight training began more than 25 years ago, after moving on from sport but still wanting to maintain strength, fitness, and a healthy lifestyle.
Training quickly became more than a hobby — it became a foundation for my physical and mental wellbeing, and eventually, the path that led me to helping others do the same.
Living With Type 2 Diabetes
More than 20 years ago, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
That diagnosis changed the way I approached health, training, and long‑term wellbeing.
It also gave me a unique perspective.
I understand what it’s like to face health challenges, to feel unsure where to start, and to need guidance that’s supportive rather than overwhelming. Today, I use that experience to help clients — especially those who are diabetic or pre‑diabetic — feel confident and capable in the gym.
